Here I Raise My Ebenezer

Spencer W. Kimball told us many years ago that we should grow a garden, not only for the food and beauty it produced, but so that we would learn some important lessons about life. Planting seeds, nurturing plants, weeding, and finally harvesting fruit and vegetables, would teach us. Dad and I have been able to have a garden most of the years we have spent together. Even the first basement apartment we rented came with a garden plot! Now we have a nice yard with several kinds of fruit trees, a vegetable garden, ponds and waterfalls, rock walls , hedges, an arbor and gazebo. We spend a lot of time and effort trying to keep up with everything. In fact a lot of my heart goes into my garden. It is my....ebenezer.
